Educational CD ROM

This CD Rom uses powerful messages to raise awareness around issues involving road safety and responsible vehicle use. It highlights the effect dangerous vehicle use has on the lives of 6 families, who have lost a loved one through car crime.

Aimed at young people aged 11 to 17 years it is intended for both professional and home use, being of benefit to organisations such as schools, youth clubs, young offenders institutions etc.

The easy to use interactive elements are designed to stimulate interest and energise learning by making the user feel involved and more able to retain the messages being presented.

N.B To achieve the full effect of the CD Rom, a computer with sound is required.

Educational Video/DVD

Stolen Cars....Stolen Lives" video/DVD is the story of how five people came to lose their lives at the hands of young offenders. Told by the victims' families the video tells how these events have devastated those left behind. The video is suitable for ages 12 to adult and has been used successfully by schools, prison services, youth offending teams and adult probation service. Complete with worksheets and teachers notes, it can be ordered by downloading the order sheet.

The CD, funded by the Department of Transport, has been designed by Steer Clear and Mindfizz in conjunction with the UMCC. The CD is in an interactive format and is designed to iron out some of the confusion and ignorance around the law in relation to driving, road safety and the legal requirements around responsible vehicle ownership. This excellent and very comprehensive CD is intended for new drivers and drivers inexperienced in British driving cultures and laws. It is ideal for both English speakers and people who are not English speaking as a first language.
